Dear Commercial Personal Property Owners:
The Massachusetts Department of Revenue has required the Harwich Board of Assessors to verify each of the four hundred and ninety (490) personal property accounts in Town. This was last done approximately ten years ago.
We are asking for your assistance, so that this requirement can be met as efficiently and painlessly as possible.
Enclosed is a “Form of List” that legally should be filed each year. Please fill out the form the best you can. Blank “Form of List” and additional schedules are available at our website www.town.harwich.ma.us under Commercial Personal Property Form of List. Enclosed for your convenience is a copy of the FY 2007 listing for your business.

The Town will be sending our representative to your business to briefly inspect and verify the listing. This should result in an accurate assessment when the bills are issued.
