SELECTMEN PRESENT:   Ballantine, LaMantia, McManus, Wilkins

SELECTMEN ABSENT:  Cole

OTHERS PRESENT:  Town Administrator James Merriam

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER at 3:00 p.m. by Chairman McManus.

Mr. Merriam explained that Mr. Milton Brown has offered to give the Town his office furniture as he is relocating his insurance business from South Dennis to his home. He outlined the list of furniture (see attached list) and added that he and Chairman McManus had examined the furniture and have determined that it is in good condition.  He explained that some of the furniture including a sofa, loveseat and coffee table will be going to the School Department.  Chairman McManus noted that a conference table and set of chairs would go in the Selectmen’s Office and the table currently in the Selectmen’s Office would go to the Albro House.  He added that a credenza would also go in the Selectmen’s Office to replace a broken table that is currently there.  Mr. Merriam recommended that the Board accept the gift.

Mr. Ballantine moved to accept the donation of furniture from Milton Brown and dispose of it as described.  Mr. LaMantia seconded the motion and the motion carried by a unanimous vote.

Chairman McManus reported that Mr. Merriam will speak to administrative staff about the inactivity at the hotel/condo conversion on Herring River.

Mr. Wilkins moved to adjourn at 3:05 p.m.  Chairman McManus seconded the motion and the motion carried by a unanimous vote.

Respectfully submitted,
